Managed Network Services
Telecommunications and networking seems complicated if it's not your organization. Staying on top of evolving network configurations and procedures drains your resources. As an alternative, spend your precious time building your organization by letting Sprint Managed Network Services(SM) handle and optimize the design, implementation, and maintenance of your voice and data networks.

Our web-based core network management systems permit the network to be monitored comprehensively, including offsite and out of hours and provide reporting facilites used to issue quarterly service reports , the network management system provides at a glance usage information with historical information available via MRTG. Latency and performance are monitored using Smokeping.

Network and service availability monitoring is provided by Netsaint/Nagios, including alarm notification and availability reporting facilities.

Monitoring is distributed throughout the network to ensure consistency and alarm detection is supplemented by syslogging for further detail. Off-network statistics are also collected.

Traffic analysis is being developed, with distributed Netflow collectors providing the information flows and a custom frontend to produce Top50 usage statistics. Our inhouse ticketing system Mousetrap allows the NOC to track faults and report to clients and peers. Our network management systems support both IPv4 and IPv6.

Priorities for 2004 will be to improve the client-facing and reporting aspects of our Network Management system, to monitor routing performance and to fully deploy the netflow statistics.
